Music from the Hallwyl Archives

Almost forgotten music discovered by the DUO AVALON  in the Hallwyl music archives is combined with fascinating stories about the Hallwyl family and social life at the turn of the last century. The performance includes a guided tour of the beautiful rooms of the house, and refreshments during the break. The ethnologist Gösta Sandell leads the program that lasts about 80 minutes and is given in English, Swedish or German.

 

A Swiss Count and a Swedish Heiress

The ethnologist Gösta Sandell relates about the family von Hallwyls adventurous past in Switzerland and their life in Sweden. These amusing stories are illustrated by a Swiss cellist and a Swedish pianist who present music from their homelands. This performance also takes about 80 minutes, is given in English, Swedish or German and includes a guided tour of the house, and refreshments.

 

Both performances are given for groups of 20–60 people and cost about 23 000–33 000 SEK.
